Web Dashboard Reference
This guide describes the options available in the Qgis2OnlineMap Web Dashboard, structured according to the navigation menu order.
1. Projects Tab
The dashboard homepage where all your published mapping projects are organized.
Click the View link on any project card to open your live map in a fresh browser tab. Each map is hosted on our global CDN for maximum speed.
The Links button opens a menu with various distribution methods. You can copy the raw direct link, or generate an iFrame snippet to embed the map into your own website or presentation.
The Update action allows you to replace all files in a project with a newer version. This is the best way to revise your data while preserving the existing link for your clients.
Using the Manage Map icon (⚙️), you can access security configurations:
- 🔒 Set Password Access: Restrict your map to specific viewers who know the correct password.
- 🌐 Public/Offline Toggle: Instantly enable or disable a map without deleting it.
- 🗑️ Delete: Permanently remove the project from our servers.
2. Publish Tab
The interface for uploading new mapping projects from the web browser.
The central zone of the Publish tab. Simply drag your QGIS export folder directly into the box. The application will automatically zip and prepare your files for hosting.
Instead of folders, you can also drop a pre-compressed .zip file. This is often faster for large datasets with many small tiles.
When you start a publish, a real-time status tracker will show you which files are currently being uploaded. Ensure you wait for the success confirmation before navigating away from the page.
3. Account Tab
Your subscription management and internal security headquarters.
Visual progress bars show your consumption of allocated disk space. If you reach your limit, you may need to delete older projects or consider an upgrade.
Tracks "Egress" or data transfer. This represents the total amount of map data viewed by your users each month.
View and manage the desktop instances connected to your account. You can Revoke Access to any instance remotely if you lose access to a workspace or if a security concern arises.
